The short version
The Unbroken Smile collects only the information needed to provide requested resources, answer messages, manage release and apparel lists, understand the usefulness of the website when permission is given, and support community submissions. Personal information is not sold.
Information you choose to provide
- Name and email when joining a list or asking for a release notice.
- Apparel interests, including optional sizing and comfort preferences, when joining the apparel first-look list.
- Messages, attachments and sharing permissions sent for the Bulletin Board, customer support or partnerships.
- Purchase or order details you provide when requesting help. Payments are completed by Amazon, Etsy, Payhip or another named retailer, not on this website.
Smile Mail
A Smile Mail message is placed in the private link created in your browser. The recipient email is used by your device to address an email and is not sent to or stored by The Unbroken Smile. Anyone who receives the link can open the card, so send it only to the intended person and avoid private medical, financial or account information.
Website and analytics information
Essential technical information may be processed to deliver pages, prevent abuse and keep forms working. Google Analytics and the Pinterest tag load only after a visitor chooses Allow analytics. These services may receive device, browser, page, referral and interaction information according to their own policies. You can change your choice at any time through Privacy choices in the footer.
Email and service providers
MailerLite supports optional email signups. Cloudflare and OpenAI Sites provide website hosting, security and storage. Google provides consented analytics and privacy-enhanced YouTube video playback. Retailers and email providers process information under their own policies. Only information reasonably needed for each service is shared.
How information is used
- Deliver requested downloads, release notes and first-look information.
- Respond to support, community, press and partnership messages.
- Review and publish Bulletin Board submissions only with the permission provided.
- Measure product interest and improve the website when analytics permission is given.
- Protect the website, prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.
Retention and security
Information is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose described, legal obligations, dispute resolution and security. The site uses encrypted HTTPS delivery, security headers, limited collection and access controls provided by its hosting and service providers. No online system can promise absolute security.
Your choices
You may unsubscribe through any marketing email. You may request access, correction or deletion of personal information held by The Unbroken Smile by emailing the address below. Some records may be retained when required for security, accounting or legal reasons. Analytics can be declined or changed through Privacy choices.
Children and sensitive information
The website is directed to adults, including adults purchasing books for children and families. The Unbroken Smile does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. The website is not a medical record service. Please do not submit diagnoses, medical records or other sensitive health information through public forms or community submissions.

This policy may change as the website, products or service providers change. The updated date will be shown at the top of this page. Material changes will be described clearly when appropriate.
